Cynthia is an independent documentary filmmaker and educational consultant living in Colorado. She received an MA degree in speech/language pathology from the University of Colorado-Boulder (1976), and a Masters (1988) and Doctorate degree in education (1991) from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has 30+ years of teaching experience, including DU-Denver, Harvard Graduate School of Education Fellow, research assistant at the Derek Bok Center for Teaching at Harvard University and Child Language Center Director at CU-Boulder. Her most recent full-time position was Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire where her research and teaching focused on educational leadership, social justice, culturally responsive teaching, interdisciplinary studies, and media development. Currently Director/Producer of Petite Productions, a small production house, she thoroughly enjoys the independent videography and editing process. As an alumna and former faculty member of SLHS, she is happy to be the designer and admin of this website.
